Product Description

This custom CNC machined 7075 aluminum camera mounting collar is designed for robotic machine vision and automated inspection equipment. In a robotic inspection cell, the collar can be mounted to the robot wrist or end effector to locate an industrial camera relative to the robot's mechanical mounting interface. Its central bore, locating shoulder and bolt pattern are customized to suit the camera mount and end effector design. The component provides a defined mechanical mounting interface without replacing the camera's own optical alignment or calibration process.

7075 aluminum offers a high strength to weight ratio and is suitable for lightweight precision mounting components. CNC machining can produce the central bore, stepped locating surfaces, mounting holes and flat interfaces required by the assembly. The alloy, wall thickness and surface treatment should be selected according to the expected mechanical loads, operating environment and mating components. Anodizing or other surface treatments can be specified when required, with allowance for coating thickness on critical fitting dimensions.

Before production, confirm the camera mounting drawing, robot wrist interface, required bore diameter, bolt circle, locating shoulder dimensions and overall collar thickness. Mechanical inspection should verify the critical bore, mounting hole positions and reference surfaces against the agreed drawing. For applications requiring a specific camera pose, the assembled system should also be checked for mechanical alignment and calibrated using the machine vision system's specified procedure.
